STEEL-IT Heat Costing withstands a constant temperature of 1000°F (538°C) with spikes to 1200°F
(649°C). Moreover, it’s not just a high temp resistant coating but also provides
corrosion protection. It’s rare in the market to find coatings that are resistant to
both high temperature and corrosion.
The color begins as gray but as the temperature rises, the coating turns a
chocolate brown and remains whatever color the heat has transformed it into.

STEEL-IT Heat Coating is a high-solids coating, meaning that it uses fewer solvents
and therefore less of what’s applied evaporates away.
For the best performance, the coatings should be baked for 1 hour at 400°F.
